WHY OUR PIZZA: WE HAND TOSS EVERY PIZZA, NO DOUGH PRESSES LIKE THOSE BIG CHAIN PIZZA PLACES. HAND TOSSED EQUALS HAND MADE AND THAT EQUALS QUALITY AND GREAT TASTE.
DOUGH, CHEESE & SAUCE: THE 3 MAJOR COMPONENTS OF PIZZA. WE MAKE DOUGH DAILY, BLEND OUR CHEESE AND MAKE OUR OWN SAUCE FRESH EVERY DAY. WITH OUR OWN RECIPES. WE DO NOT EVER USE FROZEN OR PREMADE DOUGH LIKE OUR COMPETITION DOES.
OUR PIZZA IS AN ORIGINAL, WE START FROM SCRATCH AND MAKE OUR OWN STYLE AND TASTE. AND WE ARE PROUD OF IT!!!! THAT PRIDE SHOWS IN EVERY PIZZA WE MAKE.
We are "OLD SCHOOL", this means your pizza will come on a pizza circle & bagged rather than in a box for single pizzas, if you purchase more than 1 pizzas we will use boxs, & we have been doing so for 30+ yrs. We are not a cookie cutter pizza company. This means your pizzas are made with LOVE & cooked in a oven than has stone in it rather than those pizza company’s who use conveyor chain belt driven ovens. We have been in business for 30+ yrs and we put LOVE into our food, as with those big box chains who count every single pepperoni and weigh every single item, this practice is not called making food with love its called corporate greed, as with my business its not about greed its about making sure that every item being sold has love put into it & making sure my customers are happy. I stand 100% behind my food & I have a policy that says if you are not happy call me back & I will refund your purchase & remake your food at no cost to you, AS LONG as your complaint is legit.
SWARTZ CREEK Zippy Pizza Inc., a family business since 1983, has a new home in Carriage Plaza.
Owners Deborah Crane and her mom, Anita Allen reopened the take-out pizzeria in Swartz Creek last week, having moved from their previous location on Elms Road in Clayton Township. Its been wonderful, said Crane. Ive had a lot of great response. Everyone has been very welcoming in Swartz Creek. Zippy serves up the typical pizzeria fare pizza, stromboi, subs, salads, pasta, chicken stripes and wings using fresh ingredients and family recipes, said Crane. Everything is home-made, she said. We grind our own cheese, blend our own sauce and make our own dough fresh every day.Pizza pies are prepared the traditional, hand-tossed way, with thin or thick crusts. Gluten-free crust is also available, but deep dish is not.Zippy continues to offer Zippy Twists, the bread sticks for which Zippy earned a #1 rating among area fans.Premium pepperoni is available as an upgrade for those who prefer the little round slices that curl up into little meat cups. Crane is also switching to fresh Italian sausage.Zippy pizzas also are larger than those served by many take-out pizzaioli, said Crane. The large Zippy pizza measures 16 inches.Zippy delivers within a 5-mile radius of the restaurant.Cranes father, Jim Allen, opened the first Zippy pizzeria in 1983 at M-15 and Mt. Morris Road, between Davison and Otisville. The restaurant closed in the 1990s, but Crane re-opened the business in Clayton Township in 2008. Jim Allen passed away in 2013.
Zippy is open from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, closed Monday, and 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Zippy may be reached at 635-0400.
